GENCO ATC has an immediate opening for a Director of Materials with our GENCO ATC Drive Train operation located in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Director of Materials is responsible for:
Determining, reviewing, and managing short-term and long term strategic materials and logistics issues
Reviewing instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures
Purchasing and production planning
Analyzing market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability
Reviewing and disposal of excess material
Recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product
Continuously striving for improvement in all materials processes
Maintaining a quality work environment including good housekeeping, utilizing 5S principles
Developing and adhering to the policies, procedures and instructions of the MMOG and ISO 14001 systems
Overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees from Production Planning, Purchasing (Direct Raw Materials), warehouse (Finished Goods), parts room and receiving
Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

The successful candidate will have:
A BA/BS degree; or fifteen (15) years related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Certifications in APICS and Purchasing Management preferred
