A letter from a GEN graduate - congratulations, Rex!!

GEN friends, we have a letter, shown below, that we'd like to share with you. It came from one of our GEN "graduates," a former member who found a job through networking with our group. We are blessed to be a blessing, as they say, which means that it gives us joy when we can help others.
Please remember: you don't have to be a member of any church to follow our blog or attend our meetings. We work to help people in career transition because we feel loved by God, and God tells us to love one other. So if you're between jobs, come to our meetings. You'll find information on our schedule at the top of this blog. Whoever you are, wherever you are in life, you are wanted and you will be welcomed!
Here is the letter, and thank you, Rex, for writing:
"In the summer of 2010, I found myself in a position I thought I would never be in.  I was unemployed with no prospects of getting a job.  My whole life I thought that no matter what, I could always get a job.  After months of looking and getting not so much as a nibble, I was sinking fast into despair.  That is when GEN, God’s Employment Network, came to the rescue.
"I started attending GEN and found I was not alone.  Not only did I find a spiritual oasis, but I found caring people that were more than happy to help.  They were understanding and very eager to help in all kinds of ways.  They picked me up spiritually, emotionally and, most of all helped me get an awesome job.
"GEN provides many great benefits to everyone that attends.  They help with job seeking skills, which I did not even know I needed.  They help you find benefits that are available to help in a time of financial difficulties.  They provide job opportunities that come available.  Most of all, they give you a pat on the back and encourage you to keep on going.
"Sometimes, God works in mysterious ways.  For me, GEN was one of those ways.  I owe God everything and more.  I owe GEN, and those that volunteered, the biggest of thanks for a prosperous future that I did even know was possible."
 (signed)        Rex Standard
