We had a great turnout and discussion at our GEN meeting on April 4th! In fact, we got so wrapped up in asking questions about the interview process, we didn't get to our agenda. So for our next meeting at FPC, which will be at 6:30 pm on Monday, April 18, we'll talk about what we had originally planned. We'll go over the resumes Debbie critiqued for anyone who sent one in. As you know, Debbie works with Elwood Staffing in Douglasville, and we really appreciate that she is sharing her expertise with us.
It's not too late to send Debbie your resume, if you haven't already. But be sure to send it no later than April 11, so she'll have time to look at it. Put "GEN member resume" in the subject line of your email and send your resume to debbie.wolfe@elwoodstaffing.com.
Also, there will be another Roswell UMC networking meeting on Monday, April 11. The agenda is shown below.
If you want to ride together, please send an email to jane@fpcdouglasville.org. So far, we don’t have anyone signed up to go, but there is an interest, the group can use the church van.
Please remember: the GEN blog is meant to be a two-way street! You can post job leads here for other members to see. We encourage you to exchange contact info, too, because every extra set of eyes and ears can help you find that next job.
And don't forget: we have a group of prayer partners who meet in the church parlor every Monday night at 6 pm. If you'd like to meet with them, or talk to them before they start and ask for any special prayers, please feel free to do so. They will hold what you share with them in confidence.
Until we see you again, know that we pray for you by name, lifting you up to the One who can and does provide for every heart and every need.
In His service,
Your GEN team

GEN members, be sure to read the Douglasville Patch for local job opportunities. I think the Patch is available in other communities, too, so do a search for it if you're in another city. For Douglasville, see http://douglasville.patch.com/ . Click on the "News" tab and then go to "Business" to find local job leads.

GEN friends, it's easy to post a comment to this page. Just click on "comment" after whatever post you are reading. A box should appear that says, "Post a Comment." Type your message in and hit enter. You'll then be prompted to "comment as: " and you'll be given some choices to sign in. I use my Google account, but you may have some other account that you wish to use. Remember, this is a great place to share job leads, tips, etc.
