Reservations Agent-Carrollton-100010GV
As the first point of contact for many customers, Reservations Agents handle all facets of work associated with incoming customer inquiries with the purpose of booking reservations for AirTran to ensure a smooth travel experience. Provide excellent customer service while meeting DOT compliance requirements and practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Role and Responsibilities
· Answer incoming calls to the Reservation Center
· Answer questions regarding schedules, fares, and general information
· Book air space and make changes as required on computer set
· Answer questions and inquiries about the company website
· Answer questions about frequent flier program
· May be required to make some outbound service calls
· Adaptable to changes in workplace
· Promote a positive relationship with AirTran Airways' partners
· Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Reservations Agents must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a familiarity with computers and be able to type a minimum of 25 words per minute. Experience in customer service field is preferred. Other requirements include:
•Excellent communication skills that include speaking to customers and information seekers.
•Demonstrated customer service skills and passion for providing caring customer service.
•Friendly and positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance.
•Ability to accept personal responsibility for resolving issues and handling sensitive information.
•Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Second language is a plus.
•Ability to work any available schedule to include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
•Ability to work indoors and endure sitting and wearing a headset for an entire shift.
•Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
•Successful completion of background investigation.
•Successful completion of post-offer pre-employment drug screening.
•Ability to provide 10 years of employment, education, unemployment history per FAR 108.33.
•Reliable transportation to and from the call center.
•Excellent work ethic and demonstrated ability to act with purpose and urgency. Belief and support of AirTran Airways' Guiding Principles: Safety, Courtesy, Pride, Teamwork, and Innovation.
