Maintenance Manager - Petco - Braselton, Georgia

GENCO ATC has an opening for a Maintenance Manager at our Petco facility located in Braselton, Georgia. The facility is a 506k square foot pet product goods distribution center, operating 2 shifts, with approximately 200 Teammates.
- Supervising and coaching maintenance and sanitation teammates
- Maintaining facility equipment and systems preventative maintenance agreements/schedules
- Establishing cost effective contacts/agreements with local contractors/services
- Ensuring facility equipment and systems reliability
- Adhering to and enforcing the company safety policies
- Maintaining liaison with manufacturer representatives to ensure facility support
- Assisting in meeting facility production, quality and safety goals
- Performing welding and fabrication and more technical repairs
- Developing repair procedures for equipment using manufacturer's manual
- Implementing and overseeing the sanitation procedures/schedules for the facility
- Performing safety and maintenance training
- PLC/ladder logic operations and troubleshooting
- Repairing machinery and maintaining up-to-date preventative maintenance reports on all equipment
- Performing technical repairs involving troubleshooting using electrical meters and measuring devices and reading from and interpreting wiring schematics
- Supporting the Facility and Operations Managers
- Managing sanitation, security, contracted work, pest control, local procurement/purchasing, and working with our customer through their purchasing process for parts and service.
The successful candidate will have:
- A BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of facilities maintenance experience; preferably in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in the maintenance field
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle license and willingness to operate motor vehicles in the course of this employment; power equipment licensing
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of battery maintenance, HVAC, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, D.C. Controllers, A. C. Drives powered lift equipment and bar code scanning/radio frequency technology
- Previous safety and maintenance training experience
- Maintenance of OSHA approved Lock Out - Tag Out procedure
- Previous experience designing, implementing, and managing a preventative maintenance program
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repair needs
- Good working knowledge of 5S and 6 Sigma processes
- On call 24 hours a day minus authorized time
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Power equipment licensing and training
