We are looking for exceptionally talented, highly motivated software developers. A comfort level with multiple languages and platforms is a must: the right candidate can transition seamlessly from Ruby to .NET to embedded C code all in a week (or even a day). At a minimum, candidates should be well-versed in Java, JEE and at least one other platform, and have the willingness and aptitude to learn others as needed.

Create KB articles for all technical issues encountered and how they were solved.
Test the service pack updates and new software release of the remote backup software before implementing the updates to production.
Provide online training on how to use the remote backup software to customers and partners.
On-site visits with Sales people as a Sales Engineer.
On-site implementation and training of the backup software.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Enterprise Storage Technology.
MCSE for Windows 2003 or 2008 (RHCE or CCNA is a plus).
Knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint and Visio is a must.
Knowledge of any kind of help desk software to help end users is a must.
Knowledge of Exchange 2003 or 2007, MSQL 2005 or 2008 is must.
Knowledge of Linux is a plus.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL is a plus.

Business Development Manager needed
One of our members here at FPC, Dan Sparrow, is looking for a business development manager for his software company. Dan says that this position is not a standard sales job--that is, it's not just about making a high volume of calls. Instead, the ideal candidate would contact potential customers and set up meetings; then another sales person would take over to close the deal. This job involves virtually no travel, he says, and someone could work remotely from their home with web-based tools. The pay is a base salary plus commission, with a range of $60-80K per year.
