One of our members here at FPC, Dan Sparrow, is looking for a business development manager for his software company. Dan says that this position is not a standard sales job--that is, it's not just about making a high volume of calls. Instead, the ideal candidate would contact potential customers and set up meetings; then another sales person would take over to close the deal. This job involves virtually no travel, he says, and someone could work remotely from their home with web-based tools. The pay is a base salary plus commission, with a range of $60-80K per year.
