Carrollton Presbyterian is looking for a church office manager. This is a full-time position, 9-5 Monday through Friday, with paid vacation, sick leave, and an insurance stipend. Here are the other requirements:
a minimum of three years experience in office management (college credit may be substituted for experience),
superior knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Publisher, and Excel
proficiency in accounting principles, payroll, & accounts receivable
willingness to learn ACS – Automated Church Software, Phonetree, and other
tools specific to church administration.
Administrative duties include:
Prepare bulletin and bulletin insert, Sort & distribute mail, Answer phone calls, Respond to e-mail, Tally Wed. PM dinner reservations, Meet with Pastor re: calendar, sickness and routine administrative matters, Prepare & mail monthly Newsletter, Maintain church calendar, Prepare and distribute Session packets, Maintain Session minutes
Other Duties:
Pick up bank bag, Make weekly deposits, Enter deposits in ACS, Pay routine bills as needed, Prepare payroll checks, Make federal payroll deposit, Reconcile bank accounts and savings accounts, Prepare monthly Financial Statements, Prepare and mail quarterly giving statements, Prepare federal and state payroll tax report, Update balance of PCUSA Endowments and make information available to Endowment Committee, Prepare and mail W-2 and 1099 forms.
The salary range is $22,000 to $23,500.
