Our fall kick-off meeting is Monday, Sept. 19, at 6:15 pm. We'll meet at the Douglas County Library on Selman Drive, behind Douglas County High School. Bring your resume and business cards if you have them. And bring a friend!

Encourage each other

GEN-ers, we received a great comment today regarding Steve D.'s new job. In case you don't read the comments (which appear below each post; just click on them to read them), I'm re-posting the comment here. It's wonderful because it shows how we can help and encourage each other, thanks to God's grace and marvelous love.

Here's the comment:

"Congratulations Steve! You don't know me, but I read this blog weekly. Thank you for posting your note. It really encouraged me, especially the part about trusting in God and never giving up hope even when things are hard. I have been discouraged with the search lately as I have turned in countless resumes and applications with nothing to show for it. I needed that uplifting word. Thank you! God bless you on your new job. I hope you thoroughly enjoy it!"

If you're reading this now, GEN members, please lift up a prayer for this person, especially in his or her job search, but also for whatever provision is needed in their life.

Together, we're strong in Jesus. The Bible says that a single strand is easy to break, but a cord of many strands has strength. "We are many, but in Christ we are all one body. Each one is a part of that body" (Romans 12:5).

So hang in there. God has a plan for each of us, and he promises that it's a plan for good, to give us a future and a hope!

be blessed,
Lynn
