GEN members, don't forget that we're carpooling to the Roswell United Methodist Church networking meeting on Mon, Aug. 9. We'll meet in the FPC parking lot at 4:15 and travel together by church van/bus. IF YOU WANT TO RIDE WITH US, be sure to let me know at lynn@fpcdouglasville.org so we can save your seat. We also need to send a head count to RUMC for the free dinner no later than this Friday. (RUMC requests a $3 donation for dinner, if possible.)
This is a large networking event and 2 of our members who have previously visited with really impressed. RUMC has 28 different workshops for jobseekers, as well as over 140+ employed volunteers to coach you in job search skills, like creating a resume or interviewing, AND to talk to you about what's happening now in your industry or field of interest. Many of these folks have been where we are now, and they can share a lot of info about how and where to make helpful contacts.
Don't forget--rsvp to Lynn@fpcdouglasville.org if you want to go with us.
A job networking and support resource
What is GEN?
GEN is God's Employment Network. Our free group meetings offer faith-based support and job search coaching for those in career transition. All are welcome!
GEN IS MOVING! Job leads will no longer be posted here. Instead, look for our Facebook page, God's Employment Network. Join us there to find job leads, networking opportunities, and news of our meetings. We're free and open to everyone!
Our fall kick-off meeting is Monday, Sept. 19, at 6:15 pm. We'll meet at the Douglas County Library on Selman Drive, behind Douglas County High School. Bring your resume and business cards if you have them. And bring a friend!
