GENCO has an opening for an Operations Manager for our new GENCO facility located in the Richmond area of Vancouver, BC. The facility is approximately 200,000 square feet with approximately 200 employees.
The Operations Manager is responsible for:
Directing the operational aspects of the facility
Knowing and evaluating operational productivity goals, monitoring daily and ensuring goals are achieved on all shifts
Ensuring/reinforcing the GENCO teammate culture is being fostered in the facility
Assuring the attainment of facility production, quality and safety objectives
Reviewing and assuring the accuracy of required production and inventory reports
Coordinating and conforming with the operational aspects of GENCO Core Excellence Program and audit regularly to ensure full compliance
Planning, monitoring and managing actual performance against operational portions of the budget; this includes, but is not limited to, proper management of departmental staffing levels, overtime and overall operational headcount
Leading operational initiatives to ensure inventory accuracy goals are met
Ensuring shipment and loading accuracy on all shifts
Implementing process improvement programs utilizing Lean/ Six Sigma methodologies

The successful candidate will have:
A BA/BS degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or other related operations discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience a plus
Five (5) plus years of management/supervisory experience, preferably in high volume logistics environment
Demonstrated leadership qualities
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with GENCO customers and teammates
Experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies and/or Green Belt certification a plus
Strong analytical skills
Previous team building experience preferred

GENCO has an immediate opening for a Director of Lift Truck Fleet Maintenance to work within our corporate headquarters, located in Blawnox, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Director of Lift Truck Fleet Maintenance is responsible for directing and managing procurement of and services for GENCO ATC's entire fleet of lift trucks, including maintenance and repair as well as administration of funds for acquiring and replacing forklift Truck and other mobile material handling equipment.
The position is responsible for:

Planning, directing, and monitoring the maintenance, warranty and repairs of all forklifts.
Establishing maintenance schedules and monitoring performance of maintenance personnel to ensure quality workmanship.
Overseeing the hiring, disciplining, and evaluating department staff - handles disciplinary matters and grievances as required.
Assisting facilities with developing budgets and reviewing outlays regularly to ensure that spending is in accordance with budgeted amounts.
Working with facilities to reduce fuel costs, to minimize overtime, and control outlays without sacrificing necessary repairs and maintenance.
Establishing a maintenance program for all MHE at each Facility (may involve hiring our own mechanics)
Monitoring the results of the maintenance programs, analyze the data, and make any necessary changes to minimize equipment downtime and reduce hourly operating cost.
Establishing OEM National Accounts with lift truck and battery manufacturers to insure we are getting the equipment at the best prices.
Establishing standard GENCO ATC’s lift truck specifications in conjunction with Operations management.
Developing and implementing a 2 year, 5 year and 10 year continuous improvement program to reduce overall lift truck and maintenance costs
Establishing and maintaining a lift truck fleet management program to track and control costs, wash invoices to insure vendors are in line regarding pricing, monitor lease cycles and insure operator damage and abuse stays within normal standards.
Determining and making recommendations for equipment replacements and reductions or increases.
Preparing and completing site surveys to find areas of costs savings and to stream line in flow and out flow of the products we are handling. Find ways to help us be more competitive in our market.
Monitoring equipment utilization and allocate MHE resources between the facilities in the most efficient manner.
Documenting and prepare cost reduction reports for overall program.

The successful candidate will have:
High school graduate or holder of an equivalency degree is required. Graduation from a college or university with a degree in business administration is desirable.
Minimum of 10 years experience in lift truck industry
Experience with maintenance and repair at a journeyman or lead level, with at least 2 years of increasingly responsible supervisory and administrative experience.
Experience preparing spend analysis to align with suppliers is required.
Ability to develop budgets and to monitor and control costs.
Experience drafting strategic agreements and negotiating commercial terms is required.
Thorough understanding of all aspects of fleet management, operations, and maintenance procedures.
Ability to plan, organize and manage a wide range of operations and prioritize available funds for purchase of new forklifts as well as necessary maintenance and repairs.

The facility distributes product for a major Canadian retailer and will operate 24 hours a day. The Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management activities in a project start-up environment, including planning, hiring and training of teammates. This function may include the following management activities: receiving, operations support, picking, product moves for shipping purposes and order preparation.
