Job Description: GENCO has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Specialist with our GENCO / Ft. Lee facility located in Ft Lee, Virginia. The QC Specialist is responsible for providing value to our customer and ensuring the integrity of all customer orders in the most efficient manner. This is accomplished by ensuring that the department is properly prepared to support and meet the business priorities established by our customer. Requires the exercise of independent judgment and discretion.
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for:
Maintaining and administering the project's Quality Control Plan
Monitoring independently and inspecting contractual work functions to determine if existing conditions comply with established specifications
Inspecting equipment prior to, during and after repair or maintenance to ensure compliance with appropriate specifications
Preparing written and oral reports that describe discrepancies
Creating and updating Quality Control Inspection Sheets to measure project performance relative to contract requirements
Maintaining written and computerized record filing system of inspection results or surveillance conducted
Coordinating correction of problems with section supervisors and department managers
Generating, maintaining, and reviewing statistical performance information, highighting areas which require inspection level changes to achieve compliance with company or customer standards
Responding to Customer complaints and inquiries and following up with the applicable departments, customers and government officials
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: The selected candidate will have:
Strong knowledge of Transportation, Base Supply, Material Maintenance, navigating and understanding the following STAMIS': GFM (Government Fleet Management(, Power Track, TC-AIMS, SAM-IE, and SARSS is a plus
One(1) to three (3) years of Quality Control experience
Strong knowledge of PW including Elecric, HVAC, Plumbing or General Maintenance is a plus
Computer literate with knowledge of Computer Systems and P.C. Applications
Proven planning, organizational and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communicationskills
Customer Service Driven
Ability to be a team player
