Job Description: GENCO has an opening for a Technical Manager at our Corporate Offices located in Blawnox, PA. The Technical Manager provides value to our customers by managing all phases of the software development life cycle. They will be responsible for identifying and designing technical specifications, status reporting, modifictaions, long term support, ability to work with multiple business units, leading diverse teams and working with outside customers. To be successful, must be detail oriented and willing to dive into the details of a project to flush out issues and risks, while simultaneously possessing the abiity to see the bigger picture and understand the interdependences of the overall program. Must have excellent leadership skills that can work with a diverse project team consisting of resources from all parts of the organization (both IT and Business). Will be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The Technical Manager is responsible for:
Providing technical leadership to what is currently known as the D-Log Development
Being the single point of contact between the development and project management teams
Participating in design meetings with customers and project managers
Defining technical ECD's, flows and interfaces based on functional requirements
Allocating development resources to projects/tasks
Providing overall leadership, management and administration of development resources
Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the customer's management and process teams
Managing project risks by anticipating development/deployment issues and providing immediate resolution or escalation where required
Working closely with Systems Management Team in reporting project status and concerns
Working closely with the business development and project management teams on Manhattan Associates implementations providing design and development resources and expertise
Traveling as required (10% or less)
Requirements: The successful candidate will have:
A four (4) year degree in Computer Science or related field
Six (6) to ten (10) years of overall IT experience in applications development and software implementation
Three (3) to six (6) years of development experience in the D-Log domain
Expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, oracle forms and database
UNIX knowledge and understanding required
EDI experience
Knowledge and experience in participating in a formal SCLC process
Customer service oriented
No constraints on meeting the travel requirements
Proven ability to direct one or more project teams and coordinate with one or more clients and their teams through the project life cycle
Proven ability to coordinate deliverables and dependencies with other groups
Proven ability to identify resource needs, conduct performance reviews and escalate functional, quality, and timeliness issues appropriately
Working knowledge of communication protocols
Excellent project/time management skills required

Job Description: GENCO has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Manager for our Corporate offices, located Blawnox, PA. Primary responsibility is to manage QA analysts who perform testing and quality assurance activities in complex software systems. Also responsible for all aspects of the testing process from the design of test plans to execution of test processes to the documentation of the testing results. This includes the creation of test plans, test requirements, test scenarios and test data for use during the testing phase of the release process for major and minor releases, execution of functional, application, regression, volume and performance tests, participation in uinit testing and design review sessions with developers, project managers and functional analysts and reporting of metrics used to track the progress of the testing. Additionally, responsibility for defect reporting, problem diagnosis and assisting developers to resolve defects. She/he will work closely with the project team, developers, project managers and customers. Responsibilities for scheduling and prioritizing workload for other QA team members while working closely with customers on support and application issues.
