The positions outlined below represent the positions most Pest Management companies employ. Keep in mind that while the list below represents most Pest Management firms, position titles and duties may vary by company. The pay scales below are based on a nationwide summary of Pest Management companies in the Southeastern U.S. Region and do not represent the actual pay offerings by participating companies. Most companies WILL train for many of these positions.
Customer Service Representative: Pay Scale: $10.70 - $14.15hr.**
A position that is responsible for answering and responding to incoming calls, for scheduling inspections and service, and for performing a variety of general administrative tasks. Applicants should be able to perform light duty tasks including data entry and good phone etiquette.
Termite Technician (Baiting Systems) Pay Scale: $12.03 - $16.44hr.**
A position that is responsible for providing services that prevent and/or eliminate termite damage and infestation in buildings, homes, and surrounding structures by installing and monitoring baiting stations/systems. Applicants should be able to perform medium duty talks including going into crawl space/enclosed areas.
Termite Technician (Liquid Treatment) Pay Scale: $11.77 - $16.00hr.**
A position that is responsible for providing services that prevent and/or eliminate termite damage and infestation in buildings, homes, and surrounding structures applying conventional liquid termiticides. Applicants should be able to perform medium duty talks including going into crawl space/enclosed areas.
Pest Control Technician Pay Scale: $12.51 – 17.70hr.**
A position that is responsible for pest related services that promote environmental health and safety by preventing unwanted pests in and around residential and commercial areas. The pest technician solves customer problems related to pest prevention and elimination, which can include pesticide application, analysis, and follow up. Applicants should be able to perform medium duty and be willing to work in all outside seasonal weather.
Sales Representatives Pay Scale: $16.43 - $24.08hr. (Commission)
A position that is responsible for soliciting new pest, lawn, or termite customers via creative lead generation, conventional selling, and use of marketing tools. This position will close sales, generate revenue, and increase territory after performing a thorough inspection, educating the consumer, and providing a proposal. Applicants should be able to have good communication skills and perform light duty tasks including going into crawl space/enclosed areas.
**Pay scale averages in the survey include both new and experienced employees and included
base pay, commissions, and bonus.
