Administrative HR Assistant Position

"Administrative HR assistant needed--must be local to Norcross, GA; salary: $12 to $14per hour

Our growing, award winning, Norcross firm is looking for a reliable Administrative HR Assistant who has the desire to grow and learn on a continuous basis. This position is a great way to start your HR career or to get back into HR. We are looking for someone who is professional, results oriented, and enjoys a fast paced environment. This position will give the right person the opportunity to learn all aspects of HR – recruiting, policies and procedures, workers compensation, benefits, etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Answering telephone, route calls, take messages, ensure customers, vendors, and employees are handled in a professional courteous manner

- Typing correspondence for CEO, preparing PowerPoint presentations for training modules and sales presentations

- Prepare charts from CEO's meetings with clients and follow up on action items

- Sort mail and faxes, distribute appropriately, screen mail for CEO

- File and maintain confidential files and information

- Order office supplies and other items as needed, prepare packages for mailing

- Maintain office equipment and call in for repairs as needed

- Manage all personal business for CEO as requested

- Generate sales mailings, prepare sales proposals and contracts, collect and manage sales pipeline database

- Assemble new hire packets and insurance enrollment paperwork and send out to clients

- Edit, assemble, and update handbooks and manuals

- Review the accuracy of completed new hire paperwork

- Maintain organizational charts

- Assist with recruiting as needed

- Conduct reference checks on applicants, administer pre-employment testing as required

- Assist with benefits process, serve as COBRA administrator

- Keep client and employee information up to date

- Prepare and send insurance requests for quotes as needed, order open enrollment packages, research and respond to clients on insurance claims

- Run errands as needed

Requirements:

- Must have excellent attendance and the ability to work overtime as needed

- Must have strong PC skills and extremely proficient in Microsoft Office

- Must be detail oriented, professional and customer service oriented

- A bachelors degree in HR, or related field, or previous HR experience

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
