Need help paying for your meds?

Thanks, Marsi, for these tips on paying for your prescription medications:
1. If your prescription is a name bran drug, ask your pharmacist or healthcare provider if a generic alternative is available. Often the copy is $4 or even $0.

2. www.togetherrxaccess.com is a free to sign-up for prescription drug discount program.

3. www.pparx.org is the website for the Partnership for Prescription Assistance, sponsored by PhRMA, the pharmaceutical manufacturing trade association. If you're on a brand-name drug, they can help you navigate patient assistance programs from different companies. You may be able to get your meds for a discount or even free.

Lastly, you may qualify for GA Medicaid if you have a certain condition. Your children may be eligible for PeachCare, a government-subsidized health insurance proram that was signed into law in 1997.
