Job Description: GENCO has an immediate opening for a Technical Manager for GENCO Pharmaceutical Services (GPS) R-Log in our Systems department, which is located at the corporate office in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Technical Manager provides value to our customers by managing all phases of the software development life cycle. This resource will be responsible for identifying and designing technical specifications, status reporting, modifications, long term support, ability to work with multiple business units, leading diverse teams and working with outside customers. To be successful, this resource must be detailed oriented and willing to dive into the details of a project to flush out issues and risks, while simultaneously possessing the ability to see the bigger picture and understand the interdependencies of the overall program. This resource must have excellent leadership skills that can work with a diverse project team consisting of resources from all parts of the organization (both IT & Business). This resource will be required to manage multiple projects at a time.

The position is responsible for:

Providing technical leadership to the GPS R-Log development team.
Being the Single point of contact between the Development Team & Project Managers.
Participating in design meetings with customers.
Defining technical ECDs, flows and interfaces based on functional requirements.
Allocating development resources to projects/tasks.
Providing overall leadership and management of development resources.
Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the customer's management and project teams.
Managing project risks by anticipating development/deployment issues and providing immediate resolution or escalation where required.
Working closely with Systems Management Team in reporting project status and concerns.
Willing to travel to the facility in Milwaukee as needed. It is anticipated to be 20% - 25%.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have:
Four (4) Year Degree (Computer Science or related field a plus).
Six (6) to ten (10) years of IT experience in applications development & software implementation.
Three (3) to six (6) years of development experience in the R-Log domain.
Expertise in JAVA, J2EE, PL/SQL and SQL.
No constraints on meeting the travel requirements
Proven ability to direct one or more project teams and coordinate with one or more clients and their teams through the project life cycle.
Proven ability to coordinate deliverables and dependencies with other groups.
Proven ability to identify resource needs, perform quality review, and escalate functional, quality, and timeliness issues appropriately.
Working knowledge of communication protocols.
Excellent project/time management skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision.
