Jane, thanks for sharing this:
Tuesday April 6 - Free Aptitude Workshop
You can't sell a product until you know it, how it works, and what makes it better than the competitions. Too many job seekers update their resume or even interview before they have taken the time to identify and learn to articulate their competitive advantage.
Crossroads Career Network at Dunwoody Baptist Church will be holding the first of three workshops this year on Tuesday, April 6. (This workshop was originally scheduled for March 2nd and was cancelled due to snow.)
You will have an opportunity to inventory your aptitudes (abilities, accomplishments, technical skills, education and training), and participate in a personality assessment to evaluate how it correlates with your job search. This workshop is one of the cornerstones of knowing your product (i.e., you) before you can "sell" yourself to a potential employer.
This workshop begins at 6:30 p.m.
Each participant will also receive a free copy of the Atlanta Business Chronicle's Book of Organizations. Different than the Book of Lists, the Book of Organizations lists the industry network groups in the metro Atlanta area, the target rich environment for networking.
