Job Description: GENCO has an opening for a Worker’s Compensation Coordinator based in facility located in Lebanon, TN. The facility is approximately 298,000 square foot remanufacturing and return center operation. The facility operates 3 shifts with approximately 500 teammates.
The position is responsible for:
Act as a liaison with the Workers' Compensation and group benefits carriers, Corporate Medical Director, Teammates, and various vendors
Coordinate claim investigation to determine eligibility (3-point contact) within 24 hours of receiving notice and prepare concise written investigation notes
Coordinate second opinion/Independent Medical Examinations with claims manager and Corporate Medical Director
Prepare and present factual details of claim and future plan of action during internal claim reviews in a clear concise and factual manner
Maintain confidential Teammate benefit data in HRIS/Payroll System to include: updating Teammate data, entering benefits enrollment information, updating terminations, and COBRA administration
Track work loss and restricted days
Review claim and OSHA record keeping
Maintain orderly and complete Teammate Benefits and Workers' Compensation files
Performing benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees
Back-up support for payroll
Requirements: The successful candidate will have:
High School graduate (college degree, professional certifications, and licenses preferred)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and ADP HRIS/Payroll;
One (1) to three (3) years experience managing Workers’ Compensation claims
Considerable knowledge and experience in the management of flexible benefit plans that include a knowledge of COBRA and FMLA regulations and requirements;
Minimum one (1) year of experience applying knowledge of local, state, and federal labor/employment laws and regulations regarding employment decisions such as hiring, discipline, termination, workers compensation, leave administration, benefits and compensation.
Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, customer service, and problem resolution skills;
Ability to listen and ascertain the needs of customers; ability to find and communicate accurate information concerning processes, policies and procedures to customers; ability to respond to customers tactfully and courteously;
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple functions with accuracy and attention to detail
