GENCO is currently recruiting for a Logistics Service Representative at our Transportation Logistics Division in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Be part of a team to coordinate and execute the day-to-day inland transportation activities for customers. The Logistics Service Representative is responsible for working within a team to execute the operations strategy as determined through the sales process. The representative works with the customer, carrier, and internal teammates to provide service to customers and deliver value to the customer supply chain.

The Logistics Service Representative is responsible for:

Optimizing transportation shipments for our customers while balancing service and cost using the transportation management system
Monitoring and tracking transportation shipments from inception to final delivery
Maintaining relationships established with carriers to ensure capacity and monitor service standards
Communicating effectively with customers, carriers and teammates
Analyzing and recommending broad based innovative improvement initiatives for the account with a focus on eliminating root causes of recurring issues which leads to driving down costs and/or improving service
Using professional judgment to assess the impact of tactical decisions/actions on the customer and GENCO
Balancing the customers’ needs with our company’s profitability
Reporting and analyzing key performance indicators
Building customer relationships at operational levels within the customer
Developing standard operating procedures based on the direction from manager
Assisting in the maintenance of the account plan to ensure sustainability of our services and expand our solution set

The successful candidate will have:
A BA/BS degree in Logistics or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
Relevant transportation/ logistics work experience preferred
Proven customer service experience preferred
Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective customer and teammate relationships
Problem solving skills necessary
Strong oral and written communication skills required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to learn technology quickly
Transportation Management System (TMS) experience preferred
Ability to travel up to 10%
