JOB TITLE: Regional OH&S Manager, SE Region

LOCATION: VersaCold Logistics
SE REGION (GA, FL, SC, AL)
REPORTS TO: VP Operations, SE Region

VersaCold is looking for an exceptional OH&S professional to create and continuously enhance a world class safety culture in all facilities within our Southeastern Region.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Identifies potential health hazards by examining the work environment, operations and processes and obtaining full details of the nature of the work, materials and equipment used;
 Responsible for working with Engineering Services and Risk Management and overseeing the required national occupational health & safety regulations including the consistency of policies across the regions;
 Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment within the region by partners with facility management, Engineering Services and Risk Management in fostering a working environment that promotes safety, productivity and adherence to company OH&S policies and procedures, standard operating procedures and state and federal regulations;
 Responsible for identifying, evaluating and establishing controls for the full range of occupational health hazards, developing action plans and assisting facility managers with the implementation of the action plans;
 Conducts studies, interprets results, presents specific conclusions, and makes recommendations to immediately initiate corrective actions when needed;
 Responsible for the implementation, facilitation and on-going support of the company-wide OH&S training program, in addition to ensuring all employees within the region have received the appropriate OH&S training required for their jobs;
 Works closely with Engineering Services and facility managers to ensure that identified safety issues are dealt with quickly and effectively;
 Works with management to participate in quarterly facility Safety Committee meetings when visiting the facilities and assists in Accident Investigations.
 Participates in all corporate staff meetings and relays meeting summary to Regional VP and HR; special projects and other OH&S-related tasks as required.
 PAST EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
